Saving the bees-one step at a time

By

David Suzuki:

The community activist I chose to demonstrate my ecological issue of bees is none other than the legend, David Suzuki. A Japanese Canadian scientist, author, environmental activist, and television host best known for his voice and appearance of the popular nature television show, “The Nature of Things” is a person whom I believe will bring great value and importance into the goal of honeybee conservation. I chose David Suzuki to represent this issue because of his knowledge of conservation and the importance of discussing matters such as the importance of bees, a topic that he has described in episodes before. The fact that he is a well-known person will also be of benefit so that David Suzuki will be able to reach and convince more people with the message.

Bee City Canada:

Bee city Canada is a local organization I chose that I believe will help spread the message of bee conservation. Bee City Canada is an organization that educates cities, towns, schools, and businesses about the importance of our pollinators, they offer programs which recognize communities/ organizations that are committed to help pollinators, as well as spreading the message themselves. At the end of 2021, Bee City Canada has educated over 150 cities, schools, and businesses about the importance of these pollinators, and they will continue to spread the message.
