Overfishing Ecosystems
ByBlog 2: Energy in your ecosystems.
My ecosystem is the Atlantic Ocean ecosystem.
The Atlantic Cod is affected by human activity when fishermen are fishing. And they are caught and brought to the market.
The effects of overfishing limit the growth population of the Atlantic cod. When they overfish, the population can’t grow back fast enough to supply bigger fish with the food they need. When one thing is messed up, it can mess up everything in the web or chain.
Limiting factors affect the carrying capacity of this ecosystem because when the population is going down the carrying capacity might lower, because the population gets low meaning it doesn’t have to hold as much.
