Periodic Elements Connections

By

The periodic table helps show and breakdown the elements that make something what it is. It’s easier to see what solids, liquids, gases, metals, and non-metals make up everyday items.

My environment issue in the decline in the bee population

I think these elements play a big impact on this issue and they are Lead, Sulpher(oxides), and Carbon(monoxide). I think these are connected because:

Carbon monoxide:

This element affects the amount of greenhouse gases, which affect climate change and global warming. When the temperature, weather and climate change it affects the living organisms that live in the environment. Carbon monoxide affecting the greenhouse gases means storms are increasing along with other big weather events. When big storms become more often it keeps bees from doing their job, which then affects their food web and their reproduction.

Sulphur oxides:

At high concentrations, gaseous can harm trees and plants by decreasing growth. With plants decreasing it effects bees because from collecting large amounts of pollen and bringing it back to their hive. Some Sulphur oxides make up acid rain which is very harmful to everyone and everything. Acid rain can affect deforestation by taking away all the bee’s habitats and their hives.

Lead:

Lead is very dangerous to the environment because it plays a big part in losses in biodiversity, composition and decrease in plants growing. Without plants re-growing the amount of pollen being produced is being shrunk and killing bees.
